This is a beautiful step-well located near the Anokhi Museum and on the way to Amber fort from the museum. One can find such step-wells across the state of Rajasthan.

Amber / Amer Fort

This is a huge fort situated just outside the city of Jaipur. Do dedicate a few hours to explore this marvelous fort at your own pace. Things not to miss while exploring this fort – Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, Baradari, and the grand entrance of Suraj dwaar.

Is the royal crematorium grounds. This compound follows Vedic architectural guidelines with Indo-Persian structural and arcuate building influences. Kindly note that the ticket counter closes at 16:30 and the place is open till 17:00.

Nahargarh Fort

Another very old fort in the city. Spend your evening on the hilltop admiring the pink city and the setting sun. This fort is open till late in the evening and you can spend some quality peaceful time here.

This recommended itinerary covers most of the key locations in and around Jaipur to get a proper feel of the royal pink city and to experience the life of a maharaja (king). There are 4 other places which can be visited.

  • Patrika Gate (In Jaipur)
  • Bhangarh Fort (around 80Km from Jaipur)
  • Chand Bawri (40 Km from Bhangarh)
 
If you can spare another 3 days, you can visit Ranthambore which is around  3-4 hours drive from Jaipur. Do check our itinerary for Ranthambore.
